srslyimagirl: (Suspicious)

Blitz - Baton Pass Lead
Jolteon @ Leftovers
Timid - Volt Absorb
4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
- Agility
- Thunderbolt
- Baton Pass
- Thunder Wave

Blitz was assigned to Bri shortly after being rescued from an Eevee mill run by poachers. He was unevolved at the time, and Bri let him choose which pokemon to evolve into. When he chose Jolteon, she gave him his nickname. Blitz is Bri's fastest pokemon, and she uses him to chase down suspects on foot.

Glaive - Stealth Rock Pseudo-Hazer
Skarmory @ Shed Shell
Impish - Keen Eye
252 HP/64 Atk/176 Def/16 Spe
- Drill Peck
- Stone Edge
- Whirlwind
- Roost

Bri's Skarmory is the only pokemon on her team with which she doesn't share a close bond. Glaive was originally a study pokemon used to track Skarmory migration - he was one of the banded pokemon along the route between Lumelock and Quakesburg. He was found injured by the Ranger's research division and was determined unable to be released back into the wild. Glaive has been through three different RTF agents before being assigned to Bri - the only reason they are able to tolerate each other is because she lets him fly off whenever he wants. He has an injured claw and so is unable to hunt.

Faust - Nasty Plot Sweeper
Houndoom @ Life Orb
Hasty - Flash Fire
4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
- Nasty Plot
- Flamethrower
- Dark Pulse
- Toxic

Faust has been with Bri the longest. He was her original partner pokemon back when she was just a Ranger, and although many RTF agents choose to use another pokemon when they are promoted, Bri and Faust shared too close a bond to be separated. Faust is Bri's tracker - when she comes on a scene and the criminal has already left, she hops on Faust's back and they track the suspect down.

Oliphant - Heavy Sweeper
Donphan @ Choice Band
Adamant - Sturdy
252 HP/252 Atk/4 Spe
- Earthquake
- Assurance
- Stone Edge
- Ice Shard

Ollie is a very cheerful pokemon, and is one of the rare pokemon who was obtained from a breeder rather than through a rescue. When breeders have extra eggs, they often give them to the Rangers, since the Rangers are always in need of pokemon. Ollie was hatched and trained at a Ranger facility before being assigned to Bri. She loves to battle and enjoys traveling with Bri - her only problem is with Faust. The two get along rather explosively - which is to say not at all. Ollie is Bri's frontal assault pokemon, used for breaking into strongholds where suspects might be hiding.

Regina - Dragon Dance
Kingdra @ Life Orb
Adamant - Swift Swim
252 Atk/24 SpA/232 Spe
- Dragon Dance
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Dragon Pulse

As far as functionality as an agent, Regina doesn't add much to Bri's team. If the suspects happen to be hiding on an island in the middle of water, she does great. Otherwise, Regina is the pokemon Bri uses if she gets engaged in a pokemon battle she needs to get out of quickly. Regina is just as dedicated to catching criminals as Bri is, and they make a great team.

Lantana - Annoyance
Tangrowth @ Leftovers
Impish - Leaf Guard
252 HP/228 Def/28 Spe
- Knock Off
- Sleep Powder
- Power Whip
- Leech Seed

Bri's Tangrowth is a pokemon that suspects hate to fight. If she doesn't put them to sleep, she ties them up in her many leafy tentacles until Bri can cuff them. Lantana is incredibly playful and likes to play tricks on Bri and the rest of the team. She was relocated from a very fancy garden when she wouldn't stop stealing the guests' drinks.

Region and Town of Origin: Bohren, Swiftriver City
Character's Pokemon, if not New: Jolteon, Houndoom, Skarmory, Donphan, Tangrowth, Kingdra

Character Personality: Brianne (who prefers to be called Bri and will get a little annoyed if people call her by her full name) enjoys playing the no-nonsense cop persona. She's extremely dedicated to her duty and follows the law to the utmost. When her plans don't go her way, she can get flustered and snappish, and while she likes talking to civilians about the job, she feels awkward around new trainers because they are often so young.

Bri respects those in charge and will go out of her way to attempt to impress her superiors, sometimes to her detriment. Some may say she tries too hard, but Bri would say that one can never try too hard. She runs through partners quickly because her nose-to-the-grindstone mentality wears them out and they can't keep up with her.

Pokemon, to Bri, are partners and friends. Any mistreatment of pokemon mashes her Bezerk Button, and once she gets her teeth into a good case it's very hard for her to shake them loose. Over the years she's developed a very strong bond with most of her pokemon, the notable exception being her Skarmory.

Because Bri looks and acts very tomboyish, she can be incredibly defensive about her femininity. Mistakenly calling her 'sir' is a very bad thing to do with her, as she will make a snap judgement and become cold toward that person from then on.

Character History: When Bri was young, she wanted to take the League challenge. Unfortunately, her family was not well off enough to put her through the academy in Swiftriver, nor could they spare her to travel halfway across the continent and receive a pokemon from Professor Willow. Her parents owned a small shop in one of the poorer areas of the city and needed Bri to help them manage it. She gave up on her dreams to help her family, but when she turned seventeen she joined the Pokemon Rangers in an attempt to fulfill it a different way.

All Rangers are given a partner pokemon, and Bri's partner was a Houndour she named Faust. He was a playful and cheerful pokemon despite his frightening appearance, and Bri enjoyed working with him. They learned to make their way in the world together and their personalities offset each other well - when Bri becomes too wrapped up in a case, Faust will go out of his way to make sure she takes some time to rest. Faust also enjoys intimidating poachers and people who are cruel to their pokemon, so Bri will often let him out of his pokeball during interrogations.

Bri's gung-ho attitude and dedication to her duty sent her shooting through the ranks until she was finally assigned to the Task Force, as the regular Rangers couldn't keep up with the many arrests she made. Although her arrest record is staggering, most of the crooks she nabs are small-time; trainers operating without a license or trainers with unlicensed endangered pokemon. She is waiting for her big break, the arrest that will net her a promotion.

RTF agents are given a team to help them solve cases, so none of the pokemon Bri trains are pokemon she caught herself. Despite this, and despite them technically being RTF property, the pokemon treat her as the only trainer they have ever known - the exception being her Skarmory, who has a very independant personality and will often take off on his own for hours.
